Historians who believe that Education is the starting point of social and economical development, the skill specified by education can make every person capable, dutiful and vigorous are the names that led to the naming of Shree Jana Jyoti. It is found that an astrologer Ghanshyam Gautam from neighbour VDC Jubhung, was taken as the trainer in 2013 BS by Late Tilchan Bhandari, a resident of VDC Pallikot ward no. 7 and the Education of that era was started at a cottage of dried grass in a place called 'Kathe Kaula' located in VDC Pallikot ward no.7. In the period of the Education Vedas, Chandi, Rudri, Karmakanda and Sanskrit Couplets were taught. After that, Ganga Bahadur Saru, a resident of VDC Juniya ward no.7 was introduced morden education in 2017 BS.
The place 'Kathe Kaula' was not suitable for every learners of VDC. That's why, it was decided to shift another place called ' Koldhari' located in VDC Pallikot ward no.9 . Formally the history of school was established on 10th Poush 2019 BS . Temporary permission was granted to operate Primary School from District Education Office, Gulmi on 1st Jestha 2017 BS. Then it got permission to upgrade class 4-5 in 26th Poush 2039 BS with temporary permission to conduct Class 6, the school was shifted from Primary Level to Lower Secondary Level. The school fullfilled lower secondary classes by getting permission to operate class 8 on 8th Asadh 2054 BS. According to the demand of time an situation , it stepped to operate Secondary Level classes considering notion of resident of Pallikot VDC and got permission to operate class 9 from Regional Directorate of Education, Pokhara . Similarly class 10 was operated with the permission of Regional Directorate of Education on 7th Chaitra 2064 BS. The school , which has been continuously providing SLC/now SEE since 2065 BS, has been achieving good position in Chhatrakot Rural Municipality. In order to minimize the attraction of private schools, English medium classes from class 1-5 have been conducted and plans to continue this, and upgrate English medium classes. With the development of science and technology, computer education has been continuing upto class1-8.A library has been at up to enhance the internal learning capacity of the students. Struggling with various problems as well dificulties , this school has celebrated the Golden Jubilee in 2069 BS on the occasion of 50th anniversary of its establishment . In this occasion, commemorative volume has published as a historical document and pledged to continue its publication. The school has been pursuaing teaching and learning activities using student centred methods and proper teaching materials while maintaining high admit rate of students. Educational quality centred school development campaign has been launched by implementing annual action plan in school. Student internal capacity building activities are implemented along with reading special attention has been paid to provide training opportunities to teachers, leadership development, administrative agility, monitoring and supervision, community participation, learning achievement and improvement campaigns, maximum utilization of available resources. Transparent behaviour has been adopted in the provision of textbooks and distribution of scholarship to the poor and needy. Child Development, post graduate classroom, observation and supervision, health and nutrition education, annual goals and achievement analysis and improvement programs are among the current programs of the school.
According to the body of School Management Comittee, Parent Teacher Association and School Advisory Comittee have been associating actively to contribute and develop the school, run the school and necessary advice .
